Mumbai (Gargee Babar) : Bangtan Sonyeondan or BTS as they are widely known are a K-pop group consisting of seven members namely RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook. Their Song ‘DYNAMITE’ become very famous in India last year.
India is currently facing the second wave of Covid-19, which is certainly deadlier than the first. Our healthcare infrastructure is under a lot of pressure right now. Many people are doing what they can to try and help those in need. ARMY (BTS Fans) set up a campaign last night (23rd April) and managed to gather abt 15 lakh rupees in less than 24 hours through it.The donated amount ranged from 10 to 10,000 Rupees. Through this campaign and these 15 Lakh Rupees BTS ARMY in India plan to provide Free Oxygen Cylinders, Medical Supplies, Food, PPE kits,etc.
Last year the BTS ARMY in India donated to the Flood Relief Funds for those affected by floods in India. Now this is very good initiative by the BTS ARMY, but what amazes me is that in this time of Covid-19, I never came across any news of the fans of Bollywood Celebs donating money to covid relief funds in their name. These die-hard fans of Salman Khan. Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Big B, etc have time to hate of the fans of BTS saying “BTS look like girls”, “BTS are girls”, “BTS are gay” and what not, but they don’t have time to donate for a good cause?
These celebrities have time post pics on Instagram but don’t have time to donate to a good cause? And by the way before any ‘die-hard’ fan says what have BTS done? They’ve done nothing!
Well let me tell you, Last year all the members of BTS donated to covid relief fund in their home country, South Korea and not only that they also donated 1 Million Dollars to #BLM (Black Lives Matter) campaign. (after which ARMY donated another 2 million Dollars to BLM)
